NC 13 A-Z - (NS) Place and IdentitySemester Hours: 4 Fall
“Place and Identity” is an introduction to New York City. This block
course aims to ground students in their surroundings, physical and
intellectual, and stresses the importance of location and community. It
involves reading, discussion, and writing in the classroom, as well as
experiential or hands-on learning linked to the New York City area.
Prerequisites & Course Notes This course is open to first-year and sophomore students only. The
divisional category and topics of the course vary from year to year.
