ANTH 125 - The Media in Anthropological Perspective Modes of information flow, storage, retrieval and manipulation are
examined in cross-cultural perspective. Language and myth, sacred and
secular texts, and contemporary electronic (radio and TV) media
expressions are analyzed in terms of their evolutionary and cultural
significance. Critical discussion of major theories of language,
mythology and mass communications.
