ENGL 182P - Readings in Literature: Thirties Culture: Literature, Music, Film This course examines cultural production of the 1930s: Literature,
film, and music in the U.S. and Britain. It places these productions in
a historical and economic context. An important part of the course will
be an examination of the effects the 1930s has had on American-Anglo
history and culture as well, sometimes as negation.
