PHA 118 - Epidemiology

Semester Hours: 2
Fall
Fundamentals necessary to evaluate health programs from the perspective of the population rather than the individual patient. This includes terminology, basic measurements, and theory and methods of the most commonly used epidemiologic study as they relate to causality and prevention of disease. Emphasis is on practical applications such as critical reading of medical literature.

Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes:
Open only to students enrolled in the professional phase of the Physician Assistant Program. No liberal arts credit.
