PSY 417 - Clinical Seminar in Major Mental Disorders Semester Hours: 3 Fall, Spring
Explores learning and biological factors that account for the development and maintenance of schizophrenia and other major mental and behavioral disorders. Practicum at an inpatient facility where behavioral strategies are implemented to develop and enhance prosocial behaviors, and to decrease maladaptive behaviors.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Open only to matriculated students in the clinical psychology doctoral program or permission of the instructor. Course may be repeated for credit when topics vary. (Formerly PSY 260, Behavior Deviations II: Major Mental Disorders.)
