LYST 262 - Understanding What a Writer Knows

This course looks at writing assessment, focusing specifically on the ways in which writing assessment can be linked to instruction and the manner in which writing can serve as a means of identity development in young writers. The course also explores alternative assessment techniques, such as narrative and discourse analysis, as well as self-assessment. 

Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes:
Students must complete 18 semester hours of course work in the M.A. in the Teaching of Writing  program before registering for this course.
