MGT 122 - Advanced Topics of Organizational Recruitment and SelectionSemester Hours: 3 This course concerns foundations of recruitment and selection of individuals in organizations, with an emphasis on effective management and business practices. Recruitment methods, including planning, analysis of internal and external labor markets, applicant screening, interviewing, and evaluation are covered, as well as ethical and diversity-related aspects of staffing and downsizing in national and multinational corporations. EEO considerations, job descriptions, job analysis, personnel testing, internal selection, placement, reliability and validity, and utility of selection practices are included.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: MGT 101 ; junior class standing or above required – students with fewer than 58 s.h. on record may not register for this course; no exceptions permitted.
