PSY 40 - StatisticsSemester Hours: 4 Topics include the role of statistics in the scientific method, descriptive statistics, z scores and the standard normal distribution, sampling distributions and statistical inference, hypothesis testing, the t distribution, simple and factorial analysis of variance, correlation and regression, and nonparametric statistics. (3 hours lecture, 3 hours laboratory.)
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: PSY 1 or 1A and one of the following courses: MATH 8, 40, 45, 50, 61, 61A or 71. Credit given for this course or SOC 180.
