PHA 270 - Emergency Medicine ClerkshipSemester Hours: 3 This clinical experience will focus on training students in the management of trauma and acute medical problems in both children and adults in the Emergency Department of a hospital. The establishment of priorities while diagnosing and treating critically ill patients is emphasized, along with the mastery of techniques and procedures essential to managing trauma and life-threatening illness.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Open only to students enrolled in the professional phase of the Physician Assistant Studies Program. May not be taken on a Pass/Fail basis.
