ENGL 141 - (LT) African American Literature II
Fall, Spring
The growth of African American literature from the Harlem Renaissance to the
present. Such topics as migration, African heritage, protest, vernacular, and
gender. Writers include Hughes, Hurston, Wright, Brooks, Ellison, Baldwin, Baraka,
Walker, Morrison, and Wilson.
Prerequisites & Notes
ENGL 1 and 2. Open only to students who have fulfilled the English Proficiency
Exam requirement.
