GEOL 12 - Earth History and Crustal Evolution Periodically
Principles and methods used in the analysis and interpretation of ancient life
and earth history-its paleogeography, paleontology and paleoclimates. Includes
the study of continents, oceans and ocean basins in relation to continental drift
and seafloor spreading (the global tectonics). Considers the origin of the earth,
its crust, atmosphere, oceans and life. Field trips strongly recommended. (3 hours
lecture.)
