MATH 19 - (MC) Analytic Geometry and Calculus I


Fall, Spring
Limits, derivatives, techniques of differentiation, trigonometric, exponential, logarithmic, and inverse trigonometric functions, curve sketching, applications of the derivative, introduction to integration. Meets five hours each week.

Prerequisites & Notes
MATH 11 with a grade of C- or better or departmental placement. Credit given for MATH 19 or New College NMB 1 or QTB 3. Students wishing credit for both MATH 10 or 10E and MATH 19 must receive prior permission from the department chairperson. See MATH 10E. The sequence 19, 20, 29 represents an integrated approach to the differential and integral calculus of functions of one and several variables, including applications and some theory.
