SED 154 - Teaching of Mathematics Fall
Focuses on instructional planning, teaching methodologies, materials, classroom
organization and assessment in secondary (grades 7-12) mathematics. Electronic
technologies and multiple strategies for engaging students in the discovery and
application of mathematical principles are explored. Modes of instruction for
promoting reading, writing, and communication skills in mathematics are addressed.
Thirty hours of classroom participation/observation are required in secondary
schools.
Prerequisites & Notes SED 100, SED 102 and SED 151. May not be taken on a Pass/D+/D/Fail basis.
Credits: 3 s.h.
