IT 014: Introduction to Computer Concepts and Software Tools in BusinessSemester Hours: 4 This course focuses on information technology, including hardware, software, databases, telecommunication networks, electronic and mobile commerce, decision support systems and knowledge management systems, and the integration of these technologies to create a business information system. The course provides a comprehensive introduction to the hands-on use of PC software, such as spreadsheets, databases, presentation software, and the Internet, as well as library resources and ERP systems to gather and analyze information to solve problems in a range of business areas. Political, legal, global and ethical issues relating to security, privacy, and copyright protection as they apply to information technology are also explored. Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Includes a 1 s.h. computer lab.
