SOE 001B: Fire and Arson Prevention SeminarSemester Hours: No credit This course meets the statutory requirements included in subdivision 52.21(b) of the Commissioner’s Regulations required for teacher preparation programs. It is developed for teachers, pupil services personnel and administrators to provide students with the knowledge and tools necessary to meet current fire and life safety education requirements. It will prepare students to deal with a wide array of health and safety issues that affect children. This seminar details associated safety problems, identifies applicable school regulations, acquaints the professional with various educational approaches and available resources. Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Distance learning format. Available to individuals not currently enrolled in a Hofstra University undergraduate or graduate program. P/F only. Fee: $30.
