CT 268B - Summer Supervised Practicum Extension: Teachers of Non-English Speaking Students

Summer
Practicum, under close clinical supervision, of M.S.Ed. TESOL , Adv. Cert. TESOL , and M.S.Ed. LOTE/TESOL candidates in appropriate level public school settings. Admission by interview and application to the Office of Field Placement by February 15 for summer teaching. Seminars meet weekly with supervisory personnel from the Teaching, Literacy, and Leadership Department and public school districts to work intensively with specific student problems. M.S.Ed. and Adv. Cert. TESOL candidates complete at least 50 clock hours at a level other than that of their current certification; M.S.Ed. LOTE/TESOL candidates complete at least 50 hours at the elementary level.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes:
ELED 225 and SED 267 . The course is only open to certified M.S.Ed. and Adv.Cert.TESOL candidates and M.S.Ed. LOTE/TESOL candidates. Pass/Fail grade only.
