NUR 271 - Principles of Evidence-based Diagnostic Testing Semester Hours: 2 This course uses evidence-based guidelines, scientific and clinical principles to teach nurse practitioner students the process of using patient data in the ordering and interpreting of diagnostic tests. These theoretical principles will enable students to synthesize patient data in determining the need for, selection and interpretation of appropriate diagnostic testing. The knowledge and psychomotor skills gained in this course will enable students to better formulate clinical diagnoses and construct sound clinical decisions.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: For Graduate Nursing Majors only.
