BIO 144 - Animal PhysiologySemester Hours: 4 Fall, Spring
Vertebrates are organisms that have come to terms with their environment, internal and external, via natural selection. The lecture emphasizes the classical concept of homeostasis and the modern concept of feedback mechanisms. The laboratory emphasizes the use of instruments in measuring and analyzing physiological parameters. (3 hours lecture, 3 hours laboratory.)
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: BIO 011 , 012 , 013 , 014 , 015 ; and , and ; and , and or and , , ; or permission of instructor. Fulfills one of the two lab courses required for a biology major. Lab fee additional.
