LYST 360 - Introduction to Qualitative Research in Literacy Studies Semester Hours: 3 Periodically
This Doctoral seminar explores current research in the field of literacy studies. It provides students with an overview of the various qualitative research approaches, theoretical frameworks and methodologies used in literacy studies research. These include: reader response theories and research, practitioner and emergent design research studies, case studies, and participatory action research, and research of literacy practices in digitial spaces. Students will read and review research studies in the various areas and participate in research design.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Doctoral student or permission of instructor.
