MPH 222 - Research Methods for Qualitative Studies Semester Hours: 2

This course provides an introduction to qualitative research methods. The course will focus on teaching practical skills for conceptualizing, planning, and conducting qualitative research that can be used to address public health issues in communities. Key qualitative data collection strategies commonly used in public health such as observations, interviews and focus groups will be introduced. Additionally, students will practice analyzing and interpreting qualitative data and writing up findings.
