This program qualifies students for general accounting careers in business but does not fully satisfy the educational requirements for licensure as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in New York State. New York and most other states require 150 semester hours of coursework for licensure as a CPA. Students intending to pursue careers in public accounting are advised to consider the BBA Major in Accounting (Licensure) program or our accelerated programs.
