The Women’s Studies minor program, under the supervision of the College of Liberal
Arts and Sciences and New College, provides interdisciplinary perspectives on
women in the humanities, the social sciences and natural sciences; women in a
crosscultural context; and women’s roles and issues.

Minor Requirements - Total Semester Hours: 18
A minor in Women’s Studies consists of the successful completion of 18 semester
hours including WST 1 (3 s.h.) and 15 s.h. chosen from among the courses listed
below. Courses must be chosen under advisement by the Hofstra College Director
or the New College Adviser. At least six hours must be in residence. Choose Under Advisement From - Semester Hours: 15
