30 semester hours in geology including:

• GEOL 1 - (NS) Physical Geological Science Semester Hours: 3
• GEOL 2 - (NS) Historical Geological Science Semester Hours: 3
• GEOL 19 - Structural Geology Semester Hours: 3
• GEOL 31 - Crystallography and Mineralogy Semester Hours: 3
• GEOL 33 - Environmental Geomorphology Semester Hours: 3
• GEOL 135 - Sedimentation Semester Hours: 3
• Four additional advanced geology courses (GEOL 18 and above) selected with approval of chairperson. (Note: Minimum grade of C- required in all geology courses.)

Introductory natural science courses

Introductory natural science courses are recommended. This program is intended for liberal arts-oriented students and those planning to teach earth science in high schools.
