The minor in Italian studies and Italian American studies is an interdisciplinary program which explores the richness and variety of Italian culture as it developed in Italy and influenced other societies, notably the United States. The course of study focuses attention on academic courses offered by various departments as well as on programs such as Summer in Italy, and Italian Heritage Day.

Minor Requirements - Total Semester Hours: 18
The program consists of the successful completion of 18 semester hours of required and elective courses listed below and 9 semester hours in-residence. All students must meet with an Italian Studies faculty adviser for questions about this minor; once the minor is declared, an appointment with that same adviser is required each semester until graduation. Substitutions for and additions to the courses on the lists below may be made with the approval of the Italian Studies adviser. A. Required
