REHB 232 - Medical Aspects of Disabilities Semester Hours: 3 Spring
This course overviews the disability experience across the lifespan, including onset, course, prognosis, and treatment. The World Health Organization’s International Classification of Functioning (ICF) Model will be used to conceptualize disability. The impact of disability upon the individual will be the focus, with attention paid to physical, emotional, psychosocial, and vocational implications. Students will learn about the interpretation and application of medical information in the rehabilitation process.
