REHB 233 - Job Placement and Development in Rehabilitation Counseling


Semester Hours: 3
Fall
​This course addresses job placement and development processes for people with disabilities. The impact of community and employer attitudes, workplace culture, worker satisfaction, and natural supports will be addressed in the context of quality placements. Evidence-based job development and placement models for general and specific disabilities populations will be presented. Students will participate in practical situations and simulations to learn the skills of transferable skills analysis, labor market survey, job analysis, job development, employer consultation, and reasonable accommodation provision.
