MKT 246 - Social Media Marketing Strategy


Semester Hours: 3
This is an advanced course about how to embrace social media for business and manage the new challenges in the digital world. This course is designed to help students understand social media marketing strategies, psychological theories underlying these strategies, and hands on skills and tactics in implementing and evaluating social media marketing plans. Using the lectures, case studies, stimulation technology, and real social media management experience, the class immerses students in the up-to-date marketing applications of social media and other newly emerging media channels. The focus is to prepare students with essential knowledge and skills in working as professional social media marketing experts in various industries.

Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes:
Successful completion of Marketing Analysis and Management (MKT 203 ) or its equivalent. Open only to matriculated graduate students in the Frank G. Zarb School of Business  and it other schools at Hofstra where appropriate.
