HPE 301 - Thesis Project Preparation Semester Hours: 3 This three-credit course provides an opportunity for students to synthesize and apply the principles and concepts from master’s program in Health Professions Education course work to design a medical education-focused abstract. Upon successful completion of this course,students will matriculate into HPE 302 , which culminates in final thesis project as well as a manuscript or curriculum submitted to a peer-reviewed journal or a curriculum repository (e.g., MedEdPortal). The topic for the thesis will be determined by the student, with approval from the student’s assigned mentor, and must be related to a real-world problem or issue that the student experiences or witnesses in his/her professional healthcare setting.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: HPE 255 and RES 258 .
