A laboratory-based course that will develop students’ skills with the instrumentation used in radiation protection and nuclear medicine.

Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes:
Prerequisite or corequisite: MPHY 220 ; open only to students enrolled in the MS program in medical physics  or permission of program director.  May be repeated once for credit. Practicum meets 10-13 hours per week. When applying for a limited permit, it is the applicant’s responsibility to complete the New York State Certification of Supervision Section I, to forward it to his or her prospective supervisor, and to ensure that the prospective supervisor fully completes the Certification of Supervision Section II. There is a fee for the limited license, which expires two years from the date of issue, and may be renewed for a total of six years.
