OTH 229 - Clinical Lab: Interventions to Support Occupation II Semester Hours: 2 This course allows students to apply knowledge and skills from the previous two semesters. The teaching-learning activities emphasize “hands-on” experiences; students work with materials, supplies, and equipment used in occupational therapy practice settings. Students learn how to assess and monitor vital signs and understand lab values. Underlying theory and evidence related to physical agent modalities and therapeutic exercise as preparatory activities and tasks are examined. Principles and evidence for the use of ergonomics to support occupational performance and participation are investigated.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Successful completion of previous semester courses; OTH 206 , 207 , 208 , 209 , and 217 .
