ENGG 203 - Project Management Fall
An introduction to the concept of the project management as a unique management
approach. Since projects are the focus of many engineering ventures, it is especially
important that engineering managers are capable of addressing the variety of challenges
a project presents. Concepts such as project organizational design, the strategic
context of projects, project leadership and control, project evaluation, and stakeholder
management will be discussed. Specific tools for the management of projects, including,
but not limited to, software packages will be demonstrated and used. The various
aspects of projects, such as directing, planning, and controlling, will be studied
through the use of case studies.
