HUM 201 - Renaissance Art and Culture Periodically
Painting, sculpture and architecture from the late medieval to the Mannerist
style, examined in the context of contemporary European culture during the passage
from feudalism to capitalism. Religious, philosophical and literary elements in
the formation of humanism; artistic diffusion and provincialism; the problem of
Mannerism.
