SPCH 229 - Evaluation and Interpretation of Communication Disorders


Fall, Spring
Provides an intensive study of standardized and non-standardized procedures relevant to the evaluation of speech, language and literacy at different developmental levels. Impact of sociocultural issues are addressed. An ethnographic approach guides interpretation of events, report writing, and intervention planning. In addition to lectures, students are required to complete a minimum of 10 laboratory hours.

Prerequisites & Notes
Undergraduate major or SPCH 235 or equivalent, and 209 or permission of instructor. Laboratory fee, $10.
