Once a year
An introduction to the principles and techniques of reality therapy as applicable
in school, agency and institutional settings. Discussion of behavior control theory
and its relationship to counseling interventions. Development of counseling skills
by engaging in a wide variety of activities; structured exercises, demonstrations,
role play; peer counseling and videotaping. Students are expected to demonstrate
their understating of the principles and techniques of reality therapy by engaging
in counseling both in the classroom and other appropriate settings.
Prerequisites & Notes COUN 223 or permission of program adviser.
