CAT 241 - Drama Therapy for the Helping Professional Summer
An elective graduate course to acquaint students with the fundamentals of drama
therapy as practiced today. Different forms of drama theater games, improvisations,
role-play psychodrama and performance theater are now being used in hospitals,
schools, prisons, recreation and rehabilitation centers, libraries, and nursing
homes. Drama that is intentionally used for healing and personal growth is called
drama therapy. Through lectures and experiential workshops, professional helpers
learn how to incorporate drama therapy techniques into their work.
