SPED 204 - Collaborative Partnerships With Families of Children With Disabilities Spring, Summer
This course focuses on the principles and practices of collaboration to strengthen
family-teacher partnerships as well as parentschool, parent-child and sibling
relationship for families of children with special needs. Students will examine
ways to communicate effectively with parents, serve as advocates for children
with special needs, and develop skills as parent educators utilizing accurate
information regarding the rights of children with disabilities and their families.
Recognition of cultural and linguistic diversity will be emphasized.
