SED 264 - General Methods of Teaching Fall, Spring
An analysis and synthesis of the multidimensional role of the secondary school
teacher. Focus on analysis, reflection and decision making as related to the teacher’s
role. Topics include creating favorable learning environments, planning at various
levels, selecting and employing various teaching and learning methods, working
effectively with students from diverse populations, and evaluation. Twenty hours
of classroom observations and participation in a secondary school are required.
