CT 298A - Curriculum and Instruction in Art: Elementary

Prospective teachers study the impacts of socio-cultural, perceptual and cognitive
changes during elementary school on children’s artistic-aesthetic development.
The course links theoretical strands with weekly participation in hands-on art
projects and processes that are appropriate for elementary school students. Lesson
planning, classroom management and diverse assessment practices will be examined.
Requires twenty hours of participation-observation in an elementary classroom.
Prerequisites & Notes SED 200, 205, 264; CT 229. Same as SED 298A.
