EADM 200 - The School as an Organization Once a year
Introductory course designed for master’s-level students on the school as a complex
social organization. Concept, structure and functions of educational organizations,
with special emphasis on elementary and secondary schools. Explores the formal
structure of school systems including the roles of the Federal Government, State
Departments of Education, local school boards, public interest groups and parent-teacher
organizations. Analyzes the relationship between educational research, policy
and practice in local schools. May not be used to fulfill requirements for the
Certificate of Advanced Study or doctoral programs.
Prerequisites & Notes (Formerly Introduction to Administration.)
