MHAE 239 - Mental Health Issues for Health Educators Fall, Spring
Through an understanding of the components of mental and emotional health, students
study psychosocial factors influencing people’s healthy lifestyle choices over
the life cycle. Concepts of decision making, problem solving, communication, interpersonal
relationships, copying styles, self-concept and selfesteem are reviewed as well
as theories of counseling and corresponding treatment options.
