MHAE 268 - Health and the Elementary School Child

Fall, Spring
The focus on this course is on instruction of health education preschool -6th grade. Developmentally appropriate health information, instructional strategies and curricula planning with emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches are discussed. The school environment and school health services for this population is included.

Prerequisites & Notes
Either MHAE 268 or 268A will be selected in consultation with an adviser, depending upon the student’s documented previous elementary school experience.

Credits: 3 s.h.
