MHAE 290A - Sexual Health Issues Fall, Spring, Summer
This course is a brief overview of the components of sexual physiology that contribute
to the sexually healthy state. Such topics as stages of physical growth, conception,
childbirth, fertility and infertility, contraception, sterilization and abortion
are explored. Also considered are the problems of adolescent pregnancy, the effects
of chronic and serious illness on sexuality and drug use, and sexually transmitted
diseases as they affect sexual functioning.
