LYST 200A - Introduction to Literacy Studies Fall, Spring, Summer
This course seeks to unravel some of the meanings we give to “literacy,” through
an investigation of key assumptions, including socio-cultural, historical, and
political learning theories. Reading selections and reflective writing focus on
personal literacies, the interrelationships of language, culture, and schooling,
and major thinkers.
Prerequisites & Notes (Formerly LYST 210; READ 220, Reading, Writing and Cognition.)
