LYST 273A - Supervised Field Work in Literacy: Teacher to Student I

In this course, Professional Diploma students assume the role of educational
advocate for a K-12 student having difficulties with reading and writing. Assessment
and instruction build upon the linguistic understandings, strengths and abilities
of the K-12 student. Students meet in small groups with a faculty member, functioning
as a “child/learner study” team. This course includes a minimum of 10 hours of
field work and 6 hours of supervision.
