READ 246 - Practicum in Teaching Secondary Reading
Periodically
Application of theory and methodology. Work on specific lesson plans for teaching
reading through content fields. Emphasis on interpretive and study skills. Lessons
designed by class members are taught in their own instructional settings with
feedback in the practicum. Flexibility in lesson planning is encouraged to meet
the needs of students from varying linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
Prerequisites & Notes LYST 215 or 218; for bilingual majors, LYST 213.
