MSPE 273 - Supervised Teaching Fall, Spring, Summer
Close clinical supervision of M.S. in Physical Education students currently teaching
physical education in an elementary or secondary school. Arrangements are made
for supervised teaching at both elementary and secondary levels. Weekly seminars
are required on topics including teaching methods, curriculum design, technology,
and assessment in the content area. Also required are special seminars on issues
such as child abuse and maltreatment, prevention of alcohol, tobacco, and drug
abuse, safety education, fire and arson prevention, and violence prevention. Individuals
must obtain written permission from the employing school for the supervisory observations
by university staff.
Prerequisites & Notes Applications may be obtained at the Office of Field Placement. Pass/Fail grade
only.
