BCIS 208 - Accounting Information Systems Fall, Spring
Course addresses key concepts and trends in information systems technology and
how they affect accountants, as well as how the business environment is affecting
and stimulating the trends’ development. Students gain an understanding of computer-based
accounting information systems and the impact of information technology on the
practice of accounting and auditing. Topics include development and documentation
techniques of computer-based accounting systems, auditing and control in common
computer environments, database systems, and financial reporting systems.
Prerequisites & Notes Open only to matriculated M.S. in Accounting and M.S. in Taxation students. May
be taken by M.B.A. students majoring in Accounting in lieu of BCIS 203.
