FIN 203 - Managerial Finance Fall, Spring
Introduction to finance and financial management. Study of theoretical principles
and analytical techniques used for corporate decision making, including capital
budgeting, capital structure, and dividend policy decisions. Topics include time
value of money, security valuation, risk and return, financial statement analysis,
and financial markets and instruments. Overview of the impact of global, ethical,
social, and political issues on financial management. Consideration of other perspectives,
such as satisfying diverse groups of stakeholders and environmental concerns.
Prerequisites & Notes ACCT 203 or approved equivalent. Corequisite: QM 203. Credit given for this course
or FIN 202, not both. Open only to matriculated Zarb School of Business graduate
students and/or matriculated School of Education and Allied Human Services graduate
students where appropriate.
