ITAL 121 - History, Culture and Institutions of ItalySemester Hours: 3 Once a Year
This course will examine the origins of Italy’s national identity, beginning in the pre-Roman era and ending with the establishment of the Italian Republic and the Italian constitution. This study of Italian history will include artistic achievement, socio-economic and political movements, and major events such as wars, the development of infrastructure, and the changing of borders.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: ITAL 5 or permission of instructor.
