ITST 132 - (IS) Italian Cultural Studies II: From World War I to the Present

Exploring the culture of unified Italy from the immediate post-War years to the present day, this course aims to contextualize knowledge of a unified Italy’s cultural development; special attention will be given to the building of a national identity. Students will be presented with major trends in narrative, poetry, and the visual arts, as well as major political and philosophical figures.




Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes:
May not be taken on a Pass/D+/D/Fail basis. (Formerly Italian Civilization: the Age of Baroque to the Present.)
